I currently work with Photography, Art Rendered Digital Photography, Multimedia, Drawings & Watercolors.
In the last 5 years I have focused on Landscapes and Waterscapes and Portraits.
I do my Art Work with periods of meditation to help keep my focus on the moment. This
helps me to connect with my own inner stillness.
My Art work is to celebrate
the wondrous bounty of beauty surrounding me which is available to everyone, every moment of the day.
My spiritual awakening began in 2001 when I was diagnosed with cancer. I was inspired to take Seascape
photographs of the West Pier in Brighton.
Through uncontrollable natural and
human forces the West Pier lost its covering to reveal a wonderful inner frame, not perfect but beautiful non the less.
Both the sea and sky are visible through the West Pier whole structure with its fire
darkened frame enabling it to stand magnificently in contrast to the elements in and around it.
These elements form part of its beauty as it stands strongly united with nature.
Slowly it sinks further into the sea thus embodying the passage of time
The
destruction of the outer shell of the West Pier symbolizes to me the loss of the front I used to display to others.
I take time out to immerse myself in nature thus enhancing the beauty of my life.
Following a spiritual path I too have used the seemingly negative uncontrollable events
in my life to shed my own unmanageable front to look to my own inner spiritual beauty and peace.
With this spiritual awakening I came to accept things which I could not control and change the things
I could. This has given me the gift to lead a life of greater serenity.
Unlike
the West Pier I have choices and I use these to reshape & rebuild my life.
I
spent time during the last 4 years in Spain and took Landscape & Seascape photography of the Costa Blanca area with its
fascinating array of colors and textures.
My Art work continues to be a refection
of my spiritual journey.
